**Location**: Preston - hybrid
**Salary**: £45K - £50K + 10% bonus
**Summary**:
This is a well-established 3PL with a fantastic portfolio of high profile clients. Currently the business operates across a number of market sectors with a particular focus in the FMCG arena and provides warehousing and distribution solutions with numerous sites across the UK.
They have experienced notable recent growth and are looking to capitalise on this momentum with the appointment of an established business development professional from within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Using a proactive approach to identify prospective new business opportunities, both tender and non-tender orientated, in the market.
Develop a pipeline of activity to foster a steady stream of realised new business sales.
Present to potential new clients and work with the wider team and other areas of the business to develop proposals that meet client’s needs.
Identify opportunities for campaigns and services to present to new and existing clients.
Use your knowledge of the competitive marketplace to identify and develop selling propositions and solutions.
Key Skills/Experience:
Naturally a hunter of new business who also possesses the skills to nurture and develop new client relationships.
Previous experience of working in a business development role within the 3PL field.
Experience of writing proposals and tender documents which are creative and compelling.
A confident and proactive individual who is comfortable handling multiple prospective sales channels.
Capable of working to tight deadlines and prioritising and managing a varied workload.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
