**You must have a current active NMC Pin and a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification**

**As a Health Visitor your key responsibilities include**:

- To provide a high quality Health visiting service to a defined population in accordance with Trust policies and priorities
- To deliver individualized care and support to clients, within the framework of the ‘Healthy Child Programme’
- To understand the concept of Clinical Governance and be skilled in the identification, assessment and protection of vulnerable children and families
- To exhibit excellence in the standards for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing/Health
- Visiting practice, and to be an effective teacher and role model for others to aspire to

**The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role**:

- You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A passion and drive to help ensure that children have the best possible start in life
- You will have a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work use
- Experience in leading and working in health visiting teams
- Experience in leading interventions to improve outcomes and safeguard children and families
- Working knowledge of the tools and programmes used in health visiting to improve outcomes for children
