We have an opportunity available for a part time Carer Support Worker to join the team at our Carer Wellbeing Service Calderdale based in Halifax West Yorkshire HX1 5BD.

The National Lottery has awared us with the funding for an exciting 3 year project to help and support the community.

Salary is £11.65 per hour which is increasing in April. A 20 hour 3 year fixed term contract is avalible.

**Responsibilities**:
This role will involve you supporting older carers, providing wellbeing calls and appointments, helping set up and deliver aging well group alongside our carer acitvity coordinator.

As a Carer Support Worker you will need to be passionate about empowering and helping carers with a range of matters on a one -to one basis. You will also provide values based support, advice and information to carers ensuring they have access to practical and emotional support.

Qualifications:
It’s important to note that you do not need prior experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role, however previous lived experenice or working with unpaid carers would be an advantage. We encourage and welcome appliations from unpaid carers.

On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
