Senior Care Assistants needed for busy Residential Care Home.

Must be flexible to pick up extra shifts for holidays and sickness.

To lead the day team but must be able to cover nights if required

To complete care plan evaluations, medications, supervisions etc

**JOB PURPOSE**:

- To positively support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in providing leadership to the administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance functions of the home.
- To deputise for the Registered Manager / Deputy during their absence, whilst at all times supporting the decisions made by the manager.
- To maintain care and management skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time to time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
- To manage the services within the home in accordance with standards agreed with the manager, provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and inline with best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time to time with the provider.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS**

**Required**:

- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Team player
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
- Satisfactory DBS Check
- NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social Care level 3
- At least 1 years’ experience as a Senior Carer working in a Care Home environment

**Salary**: £11.15 per hour

**Experience**:

- providing care: 1 year (required)
- supervisory: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
