- Please note: our term-time opening hours are **Tuesday-Friday, 10am-6pm **and **Saturdays,12pm-7pm.**

**For a Mentor for Geeks Room CiC, we are looking for**:

- Someone wishing to work in a non-traditional education setting.
- Previous experience in working with people with vulnerabilities, including but not limited to special educational needs and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
- Awareness of Safeguarding policies and procedures.
- The ability to work co-operatively in collaboration with colleagues to ensure effective systems are in place to benefit the students.
- The creativeness and confidence to lead and support coaching/mentoring with small groups of students and 1:1s, in life skills, social skills and our core skills.
- The desire to promote positive behavioural changes in students, who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and facilitate their inclusion within our sessions.
- The ability to understand and adapt to the scope of an individual learner’s specific requirements.
- A willingness to learn with the students, be taught by the students and to include all students.

**Who we are**:
We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company in Leeds, working with and for individuals between the ages of 8-25 years, we cater for all abilities and capabilities.

Our main focus is on creating an inclusive environment for all, including individuals with SEND/SEMH, delivering specific programmes and activities to target people with a range of abilities. We provide regular workshops, one to one training and practical experience. We strive to inspire our students to learn through our Geeks Experience, using coding/programming, technical repairs/diagnostics and design/creativity with our 'Game Education' approach.

We also offer courses that work towards awards and accreditation for our young adults and young people who wish to push themselves further, and provide work experience opportunities to support individuals to move into employment and education.
