Estates Surveyor

**Responsibilities**:
- Organise premises letting to new tenants and re-letting to existing tenants upon lease expiry.
- Manage general property aspects, including valuations, rent reviews, and lease renewals.
- Negotiate with public and private sector owners and developers.
- Coordinate the client’s development projects, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
- Identify assets with developmental potential, considering planning, legal, and financial implications.
- Dispose of assets no longer needed by the authority.
- Investigate and provide information on potential asset acquisitions and conduct feasibility studies on potential development sites.
- Represent the client at internal and external meetings, safeguarding the client's interests, and providing property-related advice.
- Undertake valuations for capital accounting purposes following RICS Red Book and CIPFA requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Professional Membership of RICS.
- Certification: RICS Registered Valuer.
- Demonstrable experience in property management and understanding of related laws, including Landlord and Tenant legislation.
- Substantive experience in conducting valuations for various purposes and understanding best practice valuation procedures.
- Experience in presenting written and verbal reports.
- Highly developed negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate effective self-management and initiative.
- Driving Licence: Willingness to travel as per job requirements, with reasonable adjustments.
