We are looking to appoint a competent and highly motivated individual to provide an efficient administrative service to the endoscopy team
- Actively manage the team through the process of revalidation of all policies related to endoscopy and specifically JAG.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide expertise in the proactive management of specified patient pathways from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly and that patients are tracked to ensure that they are not ‘lost to follow-up’
- Work closely with staff at all levels and across all divisions/areas within Surgery including Clinicians, Associate Director of Operations, General Manager, Nursing and theatre staff, RTT validators

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.

- Assist in the co-ordination of data collection and analysis and facilitate the implantation of subsequent service improvements to ensure that the Endoscopy services remain safe and effective enabling us to achieve and maintain JAG accreditation
- The role will involve the triangulation of data and information from multiple sources
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Nurse, Lead Clinician and other members of the Senior Endoscopy team, taking an active role in ensuring the service consistently delivers the highest standards of care
- Identify changes that may be required that may affect programme of delivery
- Work with a ‘problem solving approach’ using negotiation in order to identify solutions to challenges in the service
- Make recommendations to senior members of the team where this is required in order to achieve the required outcomes
- Organise and administer meetings: take minutes, ensure timely dispatch of papers highlighting actions
- Prepare and produce reports/spreadsheets, presentations and other documents as requested using the format required
- Provide support in the achievement and maintenance of standards at the required level for the Global Rating Scheme (GRS).
- To ensure that all surveillance patients are tracked to ensure that any required treatments/appointments are booked by target dates and that patients are not ‘missed to follow up’
- Investigate all patient DNA’s, communicating the results to the consultants and the operational management team as appropriate and ensuring that the any relevant local or national policies are followed
- Develop and monitor failsafe processes and systems to manage risk of harm to patients within the defined speciality/ies
