Affinity Flying Services supports the UK military air capability by playing a key part in the seamless progression of pilots through flying training. Under a landmark partnering programme with the Ministry of Defence, we supply and maintain three fleets of aircraft to deliver Elementary and Multi-Engine Flying Training within the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). Through technical advancement and commercial innovation, we deliver safe, airworthy aircraft to match the training needs of the next generation on the frontline.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Handler to join our team at RAF Valley.
Are you interested in a career with a forward thinking, innovative and rewarding organisation? We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual with a background in transport.
You will be responsible for all transport duties including the refuelling of Aircraft, Aircraft towing, any related administrative duties and basic vehicle maintenance, as well as routine defect rectification.
You will also support the Flight Line by carrying out Marshalling duties which includes the safe departure, arrival, and turnaround of Aircraft. Flight Line set up and close down will also be part of your remit.
To be considered for this role it is essential for you to have:
- A valid Cat C Licence
- Previous ADR experience
- ADR Class 3 (in tanks)
- A valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
- Knowledge of Drivers Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
Experience within an operational aviation environment would be advantageous.
This is a full-time permanent position based on a 40-hour working week.
