**Position Overview**:
As the Head Coach, you will play a pivotal role in the continued success and development of our swimmers. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clubs coaching programme; from designing and implementing training sessions to managing coaching staff and mentoring our young athletes and Masters squad. Your leadership will be instrumental in encouraging a positive and competitive team culture, while ensuring the highest standards of coaching and athlete development.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Training Programme and Implementation:
Develop and execute a comprehensive training programme tailored to the varying skill

levels and age groups within the club.

Deliver technique training and conditioning exercises to optimise athlete performance, tailored to suit individual age groups.

**Coach Development and Management**:
Recruit, train, and mentor assistant coaches to ensure consistency in coaching philosophy and methodologies.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to coaching staff.

**Athlete Development and Mentoring**:
Provide individualised coaching and feedback to swimmers, focusing on stroke technique, race strategy, and physical conditioning.

Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages personal growth, sportsmanship, and team cohesion.

**Competition Planning and Strategy**:
Develop a competition schedule that aligns with the goals and aspirations of the club and individual athletes.

Analyse race results and collaborate with swimmers to refine training plans and strategies.

**Administrative Duties**:
Liaise with the Committee in providing a Head Coach overview for club events, including meets, fundraisers and team-building activities.

Communicate effectively with parents and Committee members regarding club policies, schedules and updates.

**Safety and Wellbeing**:
Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of athletes by implementing and enforcing all necessary safety protocols and best practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Head Coach or Senior Coach at a competitive swimming club.
- ASA Level 3 Coach
- Strong understanding of age group swimmer development, including technique and conditioning at every stage.
- Excellent communication skills, both with athletes and Committee members within the club.
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate athletes and coaching staff.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive team culture.

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Swimming coaching: 1 year (preferred)

- Driving Licence (required)
