Are you a Production Supervisor with experience of working in the Aerospace industry? This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a successful leader in the Aerospace industry. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be required to plan, direct and manage a multi-disciplined team in order to deliver Production, Spares and Repair products to Quality, Cost and Schedule in accordance with the programme plan and Leonardo Helicopters financial milestones.

This is a full time role based on site in Yeovil.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR**
- Monitoring the overall daily shop performance and by machine groups (Work Centres) looking for poor performance, understanding the issues. Checking diversion hours clocked by operators.
- Monitoring the production hours generated daily by department by machines groups.
- Conducting department manning reviews. Manning versus Hours (workload) by machine understanding where the manning is required.
- Daily understanding any machine breakdowns
- Machine planned maintenance planning.
- Labour availability
- Operator training where required
- Bottleneck Management The understanding of all bottleneck machines within department, Movement of Labour, maximising throughput, checking performance of bottleneck machines and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (O.E.E).
- Non
- Conformance Reviews.
- Health & Safety Functions.
- Apprentice Management.
- Liaise with H.R with Issues from your personnel.
- NPI (New product introduction) Reviews.
- General

Presenting at any of the department’s business improvement initiatives First Order Business Issues (F.O.B.I).

Conducting shop improvements where required.

Carrying out shop audits.

Managing any new plant introduction.
- Operator Training: Department training plan to be managed to ensure all machines are covered. Training to be monitored to ensure the best practices are being used.

Job Family Frame is Manufacturing Level 6.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- An Engineering Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
- Experience of working as a mechanical fitter or Machinist in an appropriate industry.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexible with the ability to work either on your own, or as part of a shift team and meet departmental build requirements.
- Willingness to become involved with improvement teams and activities.
- Willing to undertake training to improve competence levels in support of department.
