The National Youth Agency is delighted to be recruiting for a Youth Work Specialist - Organisational Development

**What we do**All young people deserve a productive, fulfilling future. Society needs the spark and energy of young people to make it tick, yet somehow thousands of young people feel blocked by the complex, sometimes disheartening challenges the modern world throws at them.
As the national body for youth work, NYA has a dual function. We are the professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. In line with our charity mission and aims, we also champion youth work through research, advocacy, campaigns, and programmes.

The post will require significant networking and engagement across the sector and beyond to ensure the NYA's work is rooted in the needs of young people and youth work.

The Youth Work Specialist will deliver consultancy, training, and developmental support for the NYA's customers across the breadth of all we do and ensure the NYA is at the forefront of developing its products and services.

High level relationship management skills are essential in this role and experience in developing collaborative partnerships would be a distinct advantage.
Your organisational and/or well-developed project management skills will enable you to manage a diverse range of cases, working with customers and stakeholders to review youth work practice and delivery, using your experience and analytical skills to accurately and critically assess responses.
You will be supporting organisations to create development plans that identify where they can access support, guidance and resources that will help them to progress identified areas of development.

**Essential**
- JNC qualified practitioner with 5+ years' experience of working with young people in a variety of settings.
- Proven track record in organisational development.
- Outstanding relationship management skills.
- Track record in programme or project management.
- Customer/stakeholder focused with evidence of working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Proven experience of designing and delivering inspiring training and development opportunities within a range of setting and to a variety of audiences.
- Experience of managing youth work practitioners and improving practice standards.
- Outstanding verbal and written skills, with a strong attention to detail, and experience working with staff at different levels to develop reports, products, and insight.
- In-depth knowledge of public sector governance, performance, and scrutiny requirements.
- Ability to receive, input and analyse data, producing accurate and informative reports and written feedback.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and Office 365.
- Experience of safeguarding requirements and a commitment to ensuring practices which promote safeguarding.

- Qualified educator.
- Qualified assessor with extensive knowledge of quality assurance processes.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification.
