**About the opportunity**

We are recruiting for a Senior Merchandise Planner to join our Trading team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall. The role has a flexible-working location, allowing you to work from home and the office.

As a Senior Merchandise Planner, you will report to our Merchandise Planning Manager and be responsible for planning, controlling, and delivering the merchandise for the store estate and line management of two direct reports.

As a Senior Merchandise Planner, you will be working closely with the wider merchandising and buying team to ensure stock targets are achieved and availability is managed effectively to deliver the company sales and stock budgets.

**What you'll be doing...**

As a Senior Merchandise Planner, your duties will consist of:

- Critical path management as well as any promotional offers
- Ensuring the flow of inbound and outbound stock replenishment is managed effectively
- Monitoring and reforecasting the WSSI tool to ensure that it reflects the most accurate data and presenting this on a monthly basis to the Merchandise Planning Manager
- Preparing and delivering reports and insights on the category weekly sales and stock
- Leading and developing a team, ensuring they are engaged and working within a challenging and fun environment, with regular reviews of SMART objectives

**What you'll need...**
- Ideally, a health and beauty or seasonal background, with exposure to multiple range reviews throughout a 12-month period
- A minimum of five years Merchandising experience
- A Financial, Fashion or Merchandising degree is desirable
- Previous people management experience
- Intermediate Excel Skills - advanced is desirable
- Line flow management
- Prior knowledge of WSSI (weekly Stock & Sales Inventory)
- Proven analytical skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal.
