***EMSOU is a collaborative unit of officers and staff from Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, and Nottinghamshire police forces tackling the most serious, organised, and violent crime, countering terrorism and extremism and providing forensic services on behalf of the region. The Technical Services Department within EMSOU is responsible for delivering digital and technical capabilities in support of investigations and brings together a range of specialists across a number of disciplines.

As the Regional Digital Capability Lead within the department, you will play a pivotal role in how we develop and deliver our capabilities in the face of changing technical and regulatory requirements as well as meet customer need. You will be expected to innovate alongside operational and regional colleagues to identify, develop and deliver opportunities to collaborate across Digital Forensic Science Activities, achieving efficient and effective practices across the region in accredited environments.

***Key Accountabilities**
- Manage the performance of digital capabilities at EMSOU, holding tactical teams to account and ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and value-for-money, as well as integration with force models of delivery.
- Ensure that accreditation and compliance requirements are met across the organisation in all aspects of digital capabilities and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to force digital capability leads and Senior Accountable Individuals (SAIs) in their pursuit of the same.
- Identify opportunities for digital collaboration across the region and nationally, developing evidence-based business cases for consideration by regional Senior and Chief Officers and lead complex change programmes while maintaining operational capability.

***The must haves**
- A post-graduate degree in a:

- technical discipline (such as digital forensics, computer science, engineering);
- investigation focused discipline (such as criminology or psychology);
- management

or equivalent work experience to the same level.
- a comprehensive knowledge of digital forensic science, digital investigations, ISO
- 17025/17020 requirements and associated standards including the FSR Codes of Practice and
- Experience of working within a strategic collaboration to deliver, maintain and advance accredited digital investigation capabilities within and across organisations, leading complex collaboration initiatives and technical proof of concepts to develop efficiencies and consolidate working
- Experience of budgetary and contract management within a technical discipline, working with strategic partners and suppliers to deliver value-for-money digital capabilities within a rapidly changing technology landscape.
