An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join Gynaecology Outpatients Department at the Royal Derby Hospital as a full time modern housekeeper. You would work as an integral part of the clinical team and would be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services in the clinical area, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

**Interview Date**: 14th September

Ideally you’ll have a caring and compassionate attitude, excellent communication skills and understand confidentiality. You will be able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to deliver high standards in all aspects of the role.

You will also have a good awareness of infection control principles with cleanliness and tidiness being an important part of your role in maintaining the working environment.

You must have a focus on stock control of all clinical and non-clinical supplies.

Having a “can do” approach in supporting our unit team to achieve smooth running of our department is also essential.

The main elements of the role are to ensure that there is a seamless approach to the provision of non-clinical services; ensuring the appropriate delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks, to meet individual patients’ needs, as determined by the Senior Sister in accordance with NHS National Standards.
