**Hours: 35**

**Location: Totnes with occasional travel to Education site.**

**Salary: £50,000**

**Key Purpose of the role**:
To monitor financial transactions across education, skills and employment (ESE) including income and expenditure

Act as the key liaison for the Department for Education and Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).

Responsible for the day-to-day financial transaction of ‘ESE’ in particular education tuition fees, bursaries, fee structures, invoicing and purchasing.

Maintain an updated costing record for students and keep track of all ESE income and contractual obligations

Build professional relationships internally and externally. To include United Response’s central Finance Team, Local Authorities and other external funders.

**Essential Criteria**:
Professional qualifications in accountancy - CCAB or similar qualification with at least five years post qualification experience. Graduate or equivalent.

**Experience**:

- Successful working within a senior leadership team
- Working as part of a college senior team
- Working with a range of external partners, including SEND commissioners
- Experience of SEND provision
- Project management desirable
- Ability to work strategically.
- High degree of analytical skills.
- High level leadership and communication skills.
- Risk management
- Good IT skills and ability to interpret performance data
- Effective presentation skills
