Acacia Care is coming to Hinckley Currently in the last stages of construction and due to open in Autumn, Granville Gardens Care Home is seeking creative, ambitious **Kitchen Assistants **to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, and dementia care, with 68 state-of-the-art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Hinckley

With the desire to always improve and develop their staff skillset, you will be encouraged to progress and develop skills, qualifications and training with the support of the company, so no experience is required

**What you will receive as a Kitchen Assistant;**
- **£10.75 per hour**:

- **Part-time, permanent **contract
- **24.5 hours **per week on a 6-weekly rolling rota
- **7.5-hour shifts, **10am-5.30pm, 3 on 3 off
- Based in Hinckley - **LE10 0JD**

**What you will be doing as a Kitchen Assistant;**
- Assisting and supporting the cook in the preparation of varied, nutritious and delicious meals for the residents
- Bring fresh, new ideas whilst assisting the team to create menus, plate meals and arrange food.
- Ensure the general cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen area, equipment and appliances
- Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
- Monitoring stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines

**What you will need to be successful as a Kitchen Assistant;**
- Fantastic communication and organisation skills
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- Ability to manage workload, and time and prioritise tasks efficiently
- Understanding of COSHH & a commitment to infection and prevention control
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, stock control and rotation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £10.75 per hour
