**THE ROLE**
- Liaising with the Educational Technology Unit and ICT to arrange Hub access for new students throughout the summer
- Developing efficient and customer-focused admissions procedures
- Liaising with the Admissions Manager(s) and academic staff on the selection of students for the School’s academic scholarships
- Testing and providing feedback on admissions systems developments
- Advising applicants on all aspects of the admissions process, the suitability of their qualifications, and programme details
- Building and maintaining relationships with applicants by dealing with all enquiries promptly and professionally and aiding the conversion of high-quality applicants
- Updating, maintaining and developing standard admissions correspondence
- Creating and circulating online surveys to collect data from applicants and students to inform the School’s admissions, recruitment and marketing strategies
- Creating and coordinating offer holder Facebook groups and working collaboratively with colleagues in the Recruitment Team, Programmes Marketing Team and Marketing Innovation Team to deliver relevant content to support offer holder conversion
- Representing the School as required at recruitment events, such as postgraduate fairs and open days
- Participating in online and on-campus information sessions for prospective students
- Servicing departmental meetings and taking minutes where appropriate
- Raising purchase orders as and when required
- Working flexibly across the team to provide support where needed during peak periods
- Share best practice and contribute to improvements across the Admissions Team
- Undertaking other administrative and clerical duties as directed by the Director of Admissions and the Admissions Manager(s)
- Building and maintaining relationships with other areas of the School, including the Recruitment Team, the Marketing Team, the Marketing Innovation Team, Programme Teams, the Alumni Relations Team and the Career and Professional Development Service
- Keeping skills up-to-date and developing expertise in the key areas of the role
- Improving professional capability and expertise through appropriate development and professional activity
- Keeping updated on and complying with all College policies and regulations (i.e. Health and Safety, Data Protection etc)

**THE ESSENTIALS**
- Educated to degree standard (or equivalent) and/or proven experience at a similar level
- Administrative work experience in Higher Education or a similar customer-focused sector in any previous relevant role(s)
- Excellent customer service skills
- First-rate written and oral communications skills
- Meticulous and very well-structured administrative skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to assess and analyse problems and suggest solutions
- Flexibility and a capacity to adapt to the changing demands of the job and the needs of the team
