Equity Release Underwriter

**About the Role**

Are you an experienced Underwriter, or an Equity Release professional keen to step into Underwriting? LV= Savings and Retirement have an excellent opportunity for you to join the business on a permanent basis in our **Hitchin office.**

**We support Hybrid working but you will be required in the offices full time whilst training**

To understand eligibility, you will be reviewing valuations from surveyors in detail, as well as assessing each case alongside LV=’s lending criteria. To ensure a customer’s case is progressing in a timely manner, you will keep in regular contact with our third parties and internal teams (Sales, Operations and Financial Advisors) to escalate and answer any questions or queries.

**About you**

You may already be an underwriter, keen to develop your skills in a new area. Or, you might have a strong background in Equity Release with a desire to develop your career in an Underwriting role. Or perhaps you can demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent Risk decision making skills. Even better, you will be an Equity Release Underwriter.

We’re looking for a meticulous individual with excellent attention to detail. You’ll be someone who is happy working in a close knit department, whilst also having the ability to work on your own initiative in a solo capacity. It’s important you’re someone that enjoys communicating with others, and are able to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.

We use an internal system for the majority of our work, however some work will require the use of Excel. We would like you to be a computer literate individual, who is happy to pick up and learn new systems when required.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
