A position has become available for a Yard Operative at an independent Aggregate Merchant in Hereford. We require an individual to work at our yard at Rotherwas; you will be supporting with Customer Service Operations along with General Yard Duties.
**Vacancy Description**:
We are looking to add a dedicated and self-motivated person to our team. To assist in the processing, production, handling and loading of both bagged & loose Aggregates and associated products.
Must be able to be approachable by members of the public and be able to assist them with any queries they might have. Will be required to serve both account trade customers and members of the public.
Have a problem-solving mentality and be able to deal with complications which may arise through the working day.
You will be working for a family company that has been established over 40 years.
- Suppling Builders Merchants, Construction and Contractors and Trade Customers alongside 1000’s of DIY and Retail Customers with Materials.
- The role involves Bulk Bagging and prepacking Aggregates, loading both Customers and our own fleet of over 20 vehicles with Loose, Bulk Bagged & Prepacked Aggregates
- Unloading Incoming Deliveries both loose and palletised, Preparing orders of Paving Slabs, Stone, and general building products for our delivery fleet.
- Stone Cropping and processing Stone Tumbling. Keeping the yard tidy & stocked with products for our customers.
Radbournes are seeking an individual that is able to work both as an individual and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and a desire to obtain qualifications to be able to progress in the workplace.
Please be aware this is an outside job working in all weathers all year round, and will require you to be physically active throughout the day.
**Progression Routes**
- Permanent ongoing employment on successful completion of Apprenticeship
- Forklift truck training
- Manual Handing and Health and Safety course
- Potential to move into Team Leader/Management position
**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship
**Salary**: £5.28 per hour
