Data Quality Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our vibrant, forward-thinking practice. You will have a very interesting position, working as a part of a team to improve patients’ outcomes and keep track of the practice’sprogress.
We are looking for an IT & Data Quality Administrator, who is keen to learn and progress, to join our Data Quality Team. Key responsibilities will be to contribute towards the management of practice income streams and support with effective data capture,analysis and reporting. The post-holder will also assist the Data Quality Manager in the provision of IT support within the practice and deputise for their role when required.
To assist in the management of Practice Income streams and systems in support of clinical, financial, operational and administrative processes ensuring profitability, data quality and efficiency. Support with the smooth running of national immunisation programmesand recall processes. To deputise for the Data Quality Manager and perform Data Entry and Note Summariser tasks as required.
To provide both ad-hoc and scheduled reports as required by internal and external customers. To perform Data Entry and Note Summariser tasks.
A proactive team player who must be able to manage own time & workload and work under own initiative with mínimal supervision.
The following are the core responsibilities of the IT & Data Quality Administrator. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
**IT**
- Assist the Data Quality Manager in the provision of first line support for all IT problems within the Practice to enable the organisation to operate effectively on a day-to-day basis. The ability to decide which problems can be resolved and escalate anyproblems that need to be addressed by hardware/software maintenance companies such as EMIS or MLCSU.
- Smartcard maintenance - new users, unlocking etc.
- Setting up of new EMIS & Docman Users.
- NHS Mail local area support including distribution lists and shared mailboxes.
**Information Analysis**
- Pro-actively run regular campaigns to target cohorts of patient information required to meet set targets.
- Provision of ad-hoc searches for Staff and Clinicians within the Practice Utilising EMIS Web and allied tools (Excel for example) where applicable.
- Usage of tools such as Apex and Qliksense to review and plan for The Practice at an Operational Level.
- Collect data as part of clinical and organisational audit processes and provide this within the set timescales.
**Information Provision**
- Create, edit and amend templates, searches and concepts within EMIS Web in line with current contract specifications ensuring data quality is maximised across the Practice.
- Manage and oversee the input and quality of clinical data into patient’s medical records in accordance with the current Practice protocols. Carry out regular spot check audits on data entry and note summarising work.
- Production of reports for external bodies such as Integrated Care Board/NHS England/HSCIC to specific criteria and deadlines.
- Ensure patient data quality (input, consistency and output) using EMIS Web and supporting tools in order to facilitate the practice in gaining maximum quality points for practice income streams. Liaising with 3rd parties and external bodies/agencies wherenecessary.
**Data Quality**
- Participate in the review and consistency of all protocols and co-ordinate practice policy for clinical data entry. Ensure systematic and regular review of clinical data quality entry protocols and note summarising protocols.
- Work with the Practice Partners, Clinicians and Management Team to monitor performance of the Practice income streams. Be flexible and adaptive to identifying solutions to performance shortfalls and be able to problem solve and implement solutions, sometimesat short notice to meet deadlines.
**Audit & Claims**
- Directly manage and provide returns on time for projects such as the annual flu campaign, enhanced services returns, CQRS data collection.
- Monitor QOF and IIF Indicator points as required. Liaise with Management Team and PCN members regarding any shortfall areas or batch conversion needs.
- Year end - liaise with all appropriate parties internally and externally to ensure all data/reports have been returned within the set timescales.
**Patient Recall**
- To liaise with Clinicians and the Management Team to develop the QOF patient recall process and maximise QOF/ES/CQUIN income streams.
- Liaise with the Reception Supervisor to ensure that patients are recalled to Practice for Review and/or Immunisation purposes with suitable clinician appointments available and mínimal disruption to the Reception Team.
- Undertake proactive 'housekeeping' management of the Call/Recall system/ EMIS Web/Population Manager/Mjog/CQRS including compliance, in accordance with practice protocols and set targets
