An operational and strategically focused opportunity has arisen within the Joint Kent and Essex HR Directorate for an individual to undertake the role of HR Resource Planning Assistant.

The successful applicant can be based in either Essex or Kent but will be required to travel to locations within both Essex and Kent on occasions. The office cover is managed between 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs on a rota basis.

The role of HR Resource Planning Assistant is required to provide administrative support to the Resource Planning function therefore you will ideally have office administration experience.

This is an ideal role if you enjoy working as part of a team, using your initiative and working within a fast paced and strategic team within the HR Department. The role actively assists with the development and maintenance of essential information to supportoperational resourcing in both Kent and Essex.

The successful applicant will be required to use the SAP HR database to support the planning processes, assist in the maintenance of the SAP HR database, auditing data and generating standard and adhoc reports as required, therefore previous experience orthe ability to rapidly familiarise yourself with this system is desirable.

Good numerical, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential in identifying customer requirements. You must be able to work as part of a team, using your initiative to assist with the development of the range and formats of information producedby HR Planning. You must have the ability to manage/prioritise your workload and be proactive. Attention to detail is a key requirement to ensure data accuracy. You will be required to deal with enquiries professionally and confidentially, referring callsto other sections/Departments as appropriate, therefore an understanding of the Policing environment and policy is desirable.

Office administration experience including managing workload and priorities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages inc. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Numerical, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Working with others as part of a team
- Knowledge of Police Environment & Policy
- Experience of HR SAP/HR Database
