**We are looking for Mental health Recovery Workers to join our Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service team.**

We support people who are having difficulties with their mental health across the whole spectrum of mental illnesses. We do this by offering targeted goal-focused support, developing peer support and volunteer opportunities across Derbyshire, and also peer support groups where there is a need

We offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities.

We believe in working closely with individuals to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey. Mental Health Recovery Workers work under the leadership and guidance of the Service Manager.

The service is Derbyshire Recovery & Peer support, which has a team that provides recovery services to people in the community and supports them in long term recovery through Peer activity.

An extension of this is the living well Hubs which is in collaboration with the NHS Trust underpinning this is Peer support development and training. The service has an over service contract manager and managers located in areas across Derbyshire who support teams of coaches including those with lived experience

This posts covers NE Derbyshire, Bolsover and Chesterfield. Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support service offices are based in Ripley so at times it will be necessary that you will be able to come into the office.

**Who I am?**
- Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
- Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and embedding the ethos of recovery into your own practice.
- The ability to make a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s situation and needs; to develop, implement and review risk management plans and devise support plans to meet these needs.
- This post will involve daily travel across Derbyshire. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post.
