We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Advisor with previous experience in the transport or logistics industry to join their team.
**Customer service advisor overview**:
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their pallet services, same day courier services, storage services and haulage solutions. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing support and assistance throughout the shipment process. Your excellent communication skills, knowledge of logistics, and commitment to customer satisfaction will contribute to their company's success.
**Customer Service advisor Responsibilities**:
- Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about our pallet services.
- Order Processing: Efficiently process orders for pallet shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness of customer information.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor and track pallet shipments to provide real-time updates to customers and address any delays or issues.
- Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints, concerns, and claims with professionalism and work to find satisfactory solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our operations and warehouse teams to coordinate the efficient loading, unloading, and delivery of pallets.
- Scheduling: Schedule pallet pickups and deliveries, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Billing: Assist with billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate invoicing for customers.
- Customer Education: Educate customers on our services, including pallet-specific details, pricing, and transit times.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and achieve key performance indicators related to customer service, such as response time, satisfaction, and error rates.
**Customer Service Advisor Requirements**:
- Previous Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role in the transport or logistics industry, preferably with knowledge of pallet services.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical details in a clear and understandable manner.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation, with a dedication to resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints and claims professionally.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software and tools for order processing, tracking, and customer management.
**Customer Service Advisor Remuneration**:
- Salary rate £13.00 per hour
- 20 days holidays + all bank holidays
- Monday - Friday 8:45 - 17:00
