The company was born during the first lockdown in 2020, when three experienced recruiters saw that there was a gap in the market for a recruitment agency that puts educators at the heart of all company decisions.

At the end of a very successful two years, we are excited to be expanding further and are hoping to welcome a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our small team of 5.

No day is ever the same, but you can expect to spend your time on the following:
**THE JOB**

Finding and having conversations with educators.

Speaking and corresponding with schools.

We are very confident that the services we provide can add value for any school. We work in a competitive market, but we know that we stand out from the crowd. Part of our job is to listen to what schools need from us and adapt our service accordingly. The challenge being that they don’t always realise they need us, but they do

Developing strategic relationships.

We can only achieve our goals by working collaboratively with others in the education ecosystem. We always want to strengthen our relationships with universities, teacher training organisations and companies, charities and individuals who can complement our service and add value for schools and teachers.

Shaping the direction of our company.

The company owners are very experienced and have celebrated numerous successes both at Ethos and in their previous companies, but we know that we need the input and views of others for our company to go from strength to strength. We aim to build a diverse and inclusive team where every voice is heard. We value creativity and innovation. The successful applicant will be the first addition to our team since our inception, and we hope they will be an integral part of our business for years to come.

**THE PERSON**

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You need to be making contact with multiple people in different positions every day - the more people you speak with the better You should be naturally inquisitive and enjoy getting to know new people. You should be self-aware and have high emotional intelligence.

Politically aware.

You might not currently be aware of current issues relating to schools and education policy, but you’ll need to be interested. You’ll need to understand the context of our business within the ever-changing educational landscape in order to help Ethos develop and grow as a business that adapts to continually support schools and teachers in every aspect of recruitment.

The ability to make effective plans, organise own time and solve problems.

It’s impossible to run out of work to do in this job, in fact there is always too much to do We’ll always help you make plans to reach our collective goals, but we want you to be intuitive and to instinctively know how to manage your time and when you need to change course in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

A good academic record.

Previous experience is not important, but we’ll need to see evidence of having excelled in your areas of study.
