**Job summary**:
**To support the work of the Individual Standards unit, and the external Security Skills Board by ensuring the effective operation of skills adminstration and event co-ordination processes and activities. The posthodler will support the performance management of of the SIA skills strategy and Security Skills Board strategic priorities and schemes through effective Board adminstration support and reporting of meaningful measures. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that SIA systems are updated with the relevant records and documents to ensure continuity of workstream documentation and delivery information. The postholder will support the development and implementation of schemes and products designed to raise skills standards in industry.**

**Job description**:

- ** Provide Skills Board secretariat service; organise and schedule Skills Board meetings and events as required, write meeting minutes, circulate together with project and meeting documentation to Skills Board members**
- ** Ensure Skills Board members have the access to information and data they need to make decsions, monitoring this through the Skills Board feedback and the SIA external Sharepoint site**
- ** Manage and update monthly Skills Board Strategy and Individual Standards dashboards. Monitor and update these in line with Skills Board and workstream/project updates and in prepartion for montly Directorate and external Skills Board meetings**

Establish Skills Board workstream groups, provide administration support where required, monitor workstream project data in line with GDPR guidelines through the Sharepoint site ensuring members have access to the information they need**
- ** Plan, organise and take the minutes for individual Standards meetings; Awarding Organisation (AO) Quality Standards and Expert Working Group (EWG) meetings.**
- ** Update training provider lists on a monthly basis**
- ** Report on measures that relate to qualifications achievement and awarding organisation performance (inputting of training provider activity and subsequent analysis for classroom and virtual delivery on a weekly basis)**
- ** Contribute to the development of SIA Skills Board strategic and corporate planning processes and to the development of SIA/Skills Board products and services**
- ** Provide cover for virtual classroom and malpractice inboxes and also support Skills, ACT, ProtectUK mailboxes. Respond to stakeholder mailbox queries and resolve these in a timely manner enusring a high level of customer service**
- ** Suggest improvements to SIA systems, and work with others to ensure those improvements are implemented**
- ** Maintain key policy documents, including essential policy and legal documents, that underpin training or quality processes**
- ** Liaise with the SIA Communications team to ensure accurate and timely communication to security businesses where required**
- ** Collate and analyse customer data and related management information to support strategic and operational decision making**
- ** Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time, within the job-holder’s capabilities.**

**Person specification**:
**Essential**
- ** Understanding and experience of Skills, Learning and Development/Training adminstration and event co-ordination processes**
- ** Ability to demonstrate a consistent high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders**
- ** Able to collate and analyse data from a wide range of sources and produce concise, accurate reports**
- ** Strong communication skills both written and verbally**:

- ** Able to review technical plans and reports and identify corrections and improvements.**
- ** Experience of working directly with external stakeholders, partners or supplier organisations**

**Desirable**
- ** Practical experience of working in or with the private security industry.**
- ** A high level of computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office software.**
- ** (Assoc) CIPD level 3**
- ** Educated to degree level or equivalent.**
