Your role will involve carrying out a variety of technical, therapeutic and clinical activities for a designated case-load within an agreed competency framework in a range of settings e.g. long term conditions care, continence care, phlebotomy. You will undertake on-going assessment, planning and evaluation of care.

On a day to day basis you will be part of a team and have proximal supervision from a registered practitioner. You will work in partnership with individuals, carers, families, professional health staff and other agencies in order to support patients and their families to promote independence.

Requirements of the post are HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF 7) or equivalent vocational experience in a healthcare setting, effective communication skills, and are able to work autonomously with individuals and groups. Knowledge and understanding of holistic health and common disease, illness and healthcare systems gained through accredited or vocational learning, competent IT skills and a willingness to travel across the geographical area of Angus HSCP.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment
