**This is a permanent, part-time role of 25 hours per week - flexible hours**
- Based from one of our services in Fareham, Newbury, Southampton or Portsmouth working within the Business Development Team. Must be willing to travel across all our areas of operation and have access to a car. Travel costs are covered from office base and will be planned and agreed with line manager in advance._

We have an excellent opportunity for a Client Engagement Coordinator to support our Client Engagement Team in building on their existing skills and attributes by:

- Creating opportunities for individuals to become involved in shaping, monitoring and developing our services
- Providing support to enable our clients to access a wide range of employment, training and education opportunities
- To develop and maintain recovery and enable individuals to move away from homelessness

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maximise client engagement activities across our organisation ensuring that client voices are heard and that our communication to clients is clear, timely and relevant
- Support the recruitment and development of members to the client engagement team (current and former clients who are responsible for shaping and developing our services)
- To undertake key activities and roles relating to the client engagement team’s terms of reference, for example - client involvement meetings, service quality assurance checks, review of policy and procedures and supporting staff inductions
- Coordinate team members to take part in client engagement activities, including ensuring that members are aware of dates, travel arrangements and expectations
- Deliver training to our client engagement team to enable individuals to carry out their roles effectively
- Lead and develop organisational client engagement activities such as our client surveys
- Develop relationships and liaise with local business across our areas of operations to create work placements opportunities for our clients
- Work with specialist agencies, for example Highbury College, to develop a range of accredited and non-accredited qualifications for our clients to access within our services
- Support the development of client skillsets across our services by coordinating workshops for clients which include digital literacy, employability sessions and Training In Personal Independence (TIPI)
- Work with managers to deliver “mini get togethers” that enable clients living in our accommodation services to take part in service/area group activities which promote health and wellbeing and help to reduce isolation
- Coordinate, support and provide information with client engagement team meetings
- Undertake any other duties as agreed by your line manager in line with delivering excellent services to clients

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING**
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and understand why someone may become homeless, and open to new ideas and ways of working. To respect people’s differences and promote equality and diversity

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Strong communication skills able to adapt to a wide range of audience to include our clients, our staff teams and external organisations
- The ability to connect with a wide range of clients who are homeless or threatened with homelessness and have additional support needs such as mental ill health; drug and alcohol misuse; learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and mistrust of services
- Creative in finding solutions and opportunities to build on client’s skillsets and enable them to make informed decisions and choices
- To be kind, empathic and empower our clients to get involved in a variety of activities
- Confident using a computer and Microsoft software such as Word or PowerPoint, with the ability to share basic IT skills to our clients
- To have a “can do” attitude and be able to work on your own or as part of a team

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Full drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle
