**GROUND WORKER**

**(TEMPORARY/SEASONAL WORK until end of September 2024)**

Thonock Park has a great opportunity to join the Greenkeeping Team as a Ground Worker, looking after 400 acres of beautiful grounds. This role will assist in the maintenance of both golf courses and all grounds, delivering a high standard of presentation and playability. The role is 40 hours per week, including some weekend working, and would suit a strong and hardworking individual who enjoys the outdoors. Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential.

**Key Duties**:
**Specified tasks as given by the Course Manager to include**:

- Bunker raking and path maintenance.
- Divot repair and grass edging.
- Maintenance of the gardens and car park surrounding the buildings, using powered hand tools, such as strimmer’s, blowers, hedge cutters, power washers, etc.
- Basic mowing, such as rough cutting, using ride-on machinery.
- Use machinery in the correct manner in compliance with Health and Safety regulations whilst in operation and when certified to do so.

**Essential qualifications and experience**:

- Full UK driving licence
- No experience necessary as full training will be given.

**Personal qualities**:

- Passionate about quality and demonstrating a close attention to detail
- An understanding and interest in golf would be advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
