**Salary**:£26,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

**Job Type**:Full-Time, Permanent

MGA Controls Ltd has been an established supplier of Valve & Instrumentation solutions and services to industry for over 30 years, supplying major brands such as Asco Numatics, Baumer, Burkert, IMI Norgren, Buschjost, Herion, Maxseal, Watson Smith, Avco,Alco and Valmatic into the Water, Process and Petrochem sectors.

**The Role**

We currently have a vacancy within the finance team to oversee and be responsible for the following activities:

- Process payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into Sage line 50 software and then file hard copies
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare financial statements showing business income, expenditure and stock
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing VAT returns
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alert our Accountant of errors
- Record any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile other inaccuracies
- Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Prepare aged debtor and aged creditor reports
- Credit control
- Prepare employee wages
- Managing employee expense claims
- Helping our Accountants with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts

**About you**:

- Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
- Mathematics skills for accurate record-keeping
- Administrative skills for filing financial records
- Computer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases and accounting software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Sage Line 50
- Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other work colleagues
- Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
