**The Opportunity**

This is a newly created opportunity to provide procurement support for the Surfacing Solutions Contracting business. Reporting to the Senior Category manager for Energy, fuels and bitumen you'll be working closely with the Head of Operational & Logistics Supply Chain for our surfacing solutions division.

This role will be responsible for managing £51m annual spend across 130 suppliers working in close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the proactive and effective end-to-end management of all Procurement and commercial requirements for the categories.

**Who are you?**

Ideally you’ll have experience in the construction industry and working with commercial contracts and be used to supporting cross-functional teams through change management.

You’ll have a strong Purchasing or category management background and experience in setting strategic plans with an ability to lead and manage multiple priorities and projects effectively and efficiently without compromising quality.

Competent at managing the end to end tender process, you’ll have experience drafting tender documentation and of drafting and negotiating contract terms and conditions and also the development of performance metrics (SLA’s and KPI’s).

A proactive and self motivated individual you will have ideally developed your strong networking and relationship building skills within a large, complex, matrix organisation across multiple sites.

Due to the nature of the role it's key that you exhibit a high degree of resilience alongside your strong negotiation and influencing skills and your desire to deliver results.

Additional project management experience and knowledge of E1, Coupa and SAP systems would be advantageous.
