Job Introduction
Autism Anglia and Doucecroft School, based in Colchester, are seeking a Lunch Provision and Clubs Co-ordinator. The successful applicant will promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils. To ensure the security, safety, and well-being of the pupils, through coordinating a variety of activities that will promote pupil social, emotional, and physical development during the lunchtime period and after school clubs.

Additional hours are used to plan the delivery of lunch and after-school activities, ensure activities are accessible, and manage a small team and budget. The person will ensure consistency in approach and timely interventions, where appropriate are in place.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established charity. Autism Anglia and Doucecroft School provide ongoing specialist training including autism-specific, curriculum and therapeutic training opportunities, supervision, and continuing professional development and support. A thorough and structured induction is also on offer at the commencement of employment.

**The Role**
- Providing a range of activities and opportunities for pupils at lunch and after school clubs
- Engaging and building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Effective communication using a range of augmented communication systems with pupils
- Effective verbal and written communication with staff, parents and external professionals.
- Coordinating a small team
- Supervision of less experienced Speech and Language Therapists, Therapy assistants and therapy students.
- Experience of working with children at lunchtimes in school setting
- GCSE or Equivalent, in Maths and English at level C or above
- Working with or caring for pupils of relevant age
- Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practise and awareness of relevant legislation
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Good communications skills
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults
- Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
