**Job description**

You will:

- provide counselling for clients whose employer has financed a set of 6 counselling sessions, and occasionally for self-financing clients
- work within Rowan’s policies and procedures
- undertake self-funded supervision, in accordance with the guidelines of your professional body.

We offer you:

- clients on a sessional basis (which means there is no guarantee of work and that you are free to refuse clients)
- office support
- case management
- annual CPD days

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:

- accredited by either BABCP, BACP, BCP, COSCA or UKCP or eligible for accreditation, or at least 1 year post-qualification experience and working towards accreditation.
- be able to assess whether clients are suitable for brief counselling
- have experience of working with short-term and longer-term models
- be able to assess for, and work with, risk
- have an awareness of the dual accountability to both Rowan and to the client’s employer
- have personal indemnity insurance

**Advantageous**:

- have experience of working for an EAP (employee assistance programme)
- have training in, and have worked with, more than one therapeutic modality
- ability to offer some sessions during the evening or at weekends
- online therapy training
- qualified in couples counselling, young people’s counselling, family therapy or supervision.
