**Receptionist / Guest Services Representative**

**_16 Hours per week_**

We at Cycas Hospitality have a team of dedicated Cycadettes that get to be their true selves so that they can deliver POSITIVELY OUTRAGEOUS SERVICE We put people at the heart of everything we do, and are looking to add a new; friendly, spirited, outgoing Cycadette to our fabulous Staybridge Suites Hotel in Newcastle

Staybridge Suites is an extended stay brand, whereby our guests stay for longer periods of time. It is up to us to make them feel at home with our family feel All rooms are suites with more living and working space, than you would find in other hotel rooms, we even have a fully equipped kitchen in every suite

We’ve created a Home from Home environment where our guests can have it all, affording them the ability to either work or just relax with a cuppa. The Wi-Fi is speedy, and the comfy beds are freshly made, but more importantly, the pantry is always open, and the team is always on hand. Our team can do it all Bartender, greeter, front desk attendant, speedy internet surfing problem solverall you, all of the time.

**A day in the life of.. our Guest Services Representatives**:

- Provide a warm welcome to all guests on their arrival.
- Have conversations with our regulars at our Evening Socials while serving them with free wine and beer
- Assist guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner with registration ensuring that any special requirements are noted and passed to the appropriate department.
- Assist guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner throughout their stay, demonstrating full knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and general information about the other hotels in the group.
- Ensure the highest standards of hospitality at all times
- Ensure all complaints are dealt with appropriately and pass full and accurate details of any complaints to the Manager on duty
- Ensure guest security, safety and privacy is established and maintained.
- Deal with all complaints/problems politely and positively and make every effort to resolve them. If you cannot resolve them, refer to your Line Manager but, in any case, advise full details to your Line Manager at the first opportunity.
- Take every opportunity to up explain and upsell the facilities.
- Support all members of the team to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene and Health & Safety.
- To be fully conversant and able to operate the hotels front office systems
- Assist others within and outside of immediate department

**What do I need to bring?**

Your awesome and authentic self is the main thing; however, we require you to have;
- Right to work in the UK
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work as part of a team

Previous experience within a similar role within a hotel environment and experience using Opera PMS is beneficial but not essential.
