We are recruiting for an experienced administrator to join our North & East regional team. As the administrative backbone of our Redcar campus, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programmes and operations. From managing schedules and coordinating events to supporting faculty and students, your organisational skills and attention to detail will be put to the test. This role will focus on supporting the delivery of our teacher and leader development programmes and will require the successful applicant to work closely with our senior team.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Provide senior administrative support to the senior regional team;
- In the absence of the Line Manager, provide operational management at the Campus;
- Liaise with the senior regional team regarding the organisation of the events diary and preparation of the event programme;
- Support our programme management team during busy periods of activity to ensure that our participants are supported
- Liaise with event leaders and participants before, during and after events take place and manage an effective administration service;
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information, documents, or conversations;
- Prepare event spaces fully for each event including layout, ICT/audio equipment and ensure refreshments are organised and provided;
- Respond to enquiries promptly and accurately, provide tours of the venue and give accurate venue and course details;
- Maintain safety and security of all individuals involved in events by reporting any safety concerns, adhering to fire safety regulations and implementing correct procedures for recording attendance;
- Adhere to office procedures and maintain accurate record keeping;
- Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues;
- Demonstrate an active commitment to own professional development;
- To comply with the National Institute of Teaching policies and procedures at all times.
- Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation.

**Essential criteria**:

- A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching
- An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as search engines and online databases
- A pro-active approach that focuses on solutions
- Highly proficient in managing and monitoring processes which drive successful reporting
- A sensitivity to the requirements of different audiences and an ability to adapt style appropriately
- A track record of, or the potential to co-ordinate key events or programmes (ideally in the education sector)

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience of working in a remote and geographically distributed team
- Previous experience in the education sector
- Experience of using management information systems and/or various online learning environments, particularly Microsoft Teams
- Previous team co-ordination/PA experience

Contract: Permanent

**Salary**: £24,496 - £26,845 per annum + benefits
