Company Description

At Octopus, we’re entrepreneurs and we’re investors, on a mission to back the people, ideas and industries that will change the world.

**Job Description**:
**Ventures Co-Ordinator**:
**What’s in it for you?**

Ventures Co-Ordinators are key to the smooth, efficient and successful running of our Octopus Ventures business. They are the backbone of the team, the group which keeps the business moving. You’ll work with the investment team and other co-ordinators to help make sure we’re meeting the right businesses seeking investment at the right time or getting some precious space carved out for a company we’ve already invested in.

You will be a part of a close knit and supportive group of co-ordinators who run the show together when it comes to all things arranging and coordinating, as well as acting as key liaisons between various internal stakeholders and our exciting portfolio of start-up investments.

**The team**:
In this role you will be specifically supporting Octopus Ventures which is the venture capital-focused investment team and entrepreneur/founder-facing brand within Octopus Investments, the Group’s fund management business. It’s one of the most active venture capital investors across Europe.

**What will you be doing?**
- Taking a lead in the administrative support for your team (as well as collaborating with and covering for other teams as and when needed) - you will be juggling diaries, arranging all aspects of travel and logistics, organising events, and carrying out general admin duties.
- Using your excellent communication skills to coordinate with a wide range of individuals internally and externally, acting as the first point of contact and gatekeeper for incoming queries for team members and being a go-to person for the wider Octopus business.
- Thinking outside the box and being proactive in finding solutions that go the extra mile to wow our customers

**Qualifications**:
**Ideally, you’ll have**:
Experience providing team and administrative support to a number of people with different ways of working.

Pro prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to work magic when it comes to diary management, being adaptable and flexible to our fast-paced environment.

Experience in being a true player who is always willing to lend and hand and support others.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to be resilient and persistent when needed.

This role will evolve as we grow and develop. So, if you are looking for a challenge in a fast paced and dynamic business, we can deliver on that.
