**Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 3.45pm (Hybrid Working)**

**Job Type**:
**Permanent, Full Time**

**The Bid Writer shall**:

- Effectively manage/coordinate the drafting preparation and submission of documents to achieve agreed business objectives
- Report regularly to the Operations Director on the progress of each PQQ and Tender against agreed deadlines and programme
- Interpret bid strategies to develop high quality bid documents/technical responses
- Liaise with the Operations Team in terms technical responses and the improvement of our service methodology
- Attend client meetings and presentations as necessary
- Continually review and improve PQQ/Bid Submissions
- Take ownership and manage the Compliance Services Technical Library
- Follow GFM business systems and policies
- As necessary, liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain relevant or additional information necessary for submission development
- Support the Operations Team in marketing activities which will include the preparation of marketing material and documentation
- Be able to meet challenging deadlines
- Any other task deemed to be relevant to this post

**About You**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous relevant experience in a bid development/bid management or similar role
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Client interface issues and develop robust proposals
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Extensive experience of Microsoft Office Programmes; Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Ability to work on own initiative. Hold a valid driving license

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Demonstrate an understanding of Compliance Services (Water and Asbestos management) and be able to translate this into high quality proposals
- Comprehensive understanding of SQ/PQQ and Tendering processes
- Knowledge of preparing presentations for tender interviews and meetings.
