Based at: YMCA, Erdington Site, 300 Reservoir Rd, Erdington, Birmingham B23 6DA

(although this base may be moved by negotiation, according to the needs of the business)

Job Purpose

To manage the operations of the financial transactions of the company. To organise and deliver effective financial systems. Assist and contribute towards the operational effectiveness of the department and company's objectives.

Duties

1. Responsible for the day-to-day tasks in the financial department

2. An experienced bookkeeper

3. Supplier Accounts processing, queries and payment runs

4. Sales/Rent invoicing and Credit Control

5. Carrying out key monthly processes, bank, petty cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable reconciliation including Rents

6. Liaising with the external payroll provider

7. Allocating income and expenditure to the correct project codes

8. Banking any cheques, cash received

9. Credit Card facility processing

10. Expense claim processing and queries

11. Fixed Asset transaction processing, including maintain the Fixed Asset Register

12. Maintain the Contracts Process

13. Maintain Financial Policies throughout the company

14. Providing user training and support for Finance systems

15. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports

16. Assist in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

17. Assist in Monthly Bank Reconciliations

18. Individuals will need to have the foundation to be able to cover for the Team Leader or work towards it.

19. To carry out the month end ledger close process in accordance with the month end timetable
20. To run aged debtor and creditors reports and to agree to the nominal ledgers and ensure any queries are dealt with in a timely fashion.

21. Attend finance department and company-wide meetings
