Gcms Analyst

**Role -**GC Analyst

**Salary-**Dependent on experience

**Location-**Deeside

**Hours-**Mon-Fri (37-40 hours) with the occasional Saturday shift every 6 weeks

**Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for preparing standards for calibration and quality checks
- Undertaking analysis and reporting results within required time frames
- Assisting in instrument and method validation
- Ensuring all analytical procedures comply with accredited methods
- Ensuring adherence to GLP at all times
- Instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Maintenance of training records
- Ensuring a continual supply of lab consumables by monitoring stock levels and placing orders
- Development and documentation of methods in conjunction with senior analytical staff
- Training/mentoring junior team members

**The person**:

- Competence and experience working with GC-MS systems -previous industry experience is a must for this role
- Someone who is highly motivated and organised, and is a team player
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- The ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
