Role and Responsibilities

To train and instruct CAE students during their IR phase of training based at the Oxford site. This training should be in line with set syllabus and training programmes designed by CAE to produce quality, safe pilots for the aviation industry in the future.

A key role within our organisation, the Flight Instructor role acts as mentor, guide and educator and must be able to display a flexible approach when it comes to teaching different students from other cultures and educational backgrounds.

The Flight Instructor acts as an ambassador for the CAE values and ethics, and always operates in a safe and professional manner.

Must hold current licences of:

- UK CAA Medical Class 1
- UK CAACPL (A) (or higher) with Multi-engine & Instrument rating
- UK CAAFlight Instructor with Multi Engine Instructor rating
- No Instrument teaching restriction

Preferable (not mandatory):

- Airline Experience
- Taught previously within large, professional flight academy
- EASA Instructor ratings in addition to UK CAA
