A new opportunity has become available for a Solicitor/Paralegal or Law Graduate with Commercial Contracts experience (drafting, amending and negotiating) to join a global law firm based in Glasgow for a 12 month FTC.

This particular team sits within the Compliance & Risk function, so this is a non-fee earning role that will involve working closely with a number of functions on all contract reviews and negotiations with clients. As it sits within a global firm, you will also be working across different jurisdictions and regulatory requirements.

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- Reviewing and negotiating various contracts drafted by clients
- Dealing with any changes to the Firm's standard terms of business and engagement letter
- Advising the partnership on any relevant risk and compliance issues associated with their practice
- Attending and conducting meetings where necessary to negotiate client terms
- Completing questionnaires submitted by clients and dealing with any follow-up queries

**Experience and skills required**:

- Strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively at all levels across the firm and offices
- Organisational and research skills, attention to detail and able to work well under pressure
- Flexible and able to adapt to new situations, processes and technology
