**Purpose of the Role**: As a Strategic Buyer you will be responsible for**:

- Strategic Buyer carrying out procurement tasks such as contract management
- Implementing strategic sourcing strategies and process improvements
- The strategic Buyer will also be analysing the market looking at trends to understand demand
- Ideally metal elements experience - alloy; nickel, titanium, steel, platinum ‘rare earths and platinum group metals’
- Able to work with tradable market: traders - small precious or industrial metals, financial centres, London Metal exchange
- Understanding supplier KPIs, SLAs, and their terms & conditions
- Contract management: contractual terms, negotiations, pricing
- Ideally Industrial background in metals is preferred but other relevant raw material market/commodity experience can be considered
- Product knowledge (metals) or other relevant raw material i.e., plastics, glass, or food ingredients
- Strategic analysis experience
- Ideally MCIPs qualified or equivalent
- Experience with SAP
