**Senior Electrical Controls Design Engineer**

**Location: Banbury**

**Salary**:£45-55k per year

**Hours: Full time (permanent) Hybrid based**

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for Senior Electrical Controls Design Engineer

based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role will sit within the technical team and will be responsible for the design, maintenance and support of machine control wiring and documentation. Designing of bespoke cabinets. This is a hardware (not software) role.

**The main tasks will be**:

- Design: Ensuring products meet required standards in line with Regulations/Directives
- Design: Component selection, Bills of Material, electrical cabinet and machine wiring
- Design: Knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens Logo)
- Product Support: Providing technical support within the business
- Production Engineering: Supporting the Production department to ensure the efficient and effective manufacture of products to the specified performance and quality standards
- Any other ad-hoc duties or other duties as assigned by the company

**You’ll be a good fit if you have experience in some of the following skill areas**:

- Good problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- CAD software (Electrical/2D)
- PLC Software (Siemens LOGO soft Comfort)
- ERP systems (SAP)
- SISTEMA
- Good knowledge of E-Stop and safety circuits
- Experienced in the process and procedures associated with electrical panel design for machinery
- A practical understanding of Machinery Standards (e.g.: CE, UKCA, Risk Assessments, PUWER, Machine Safety) is desirable

**Advantageous to have**:

- Degree in engineering, computing or a similar field
- Experience in the field or similar
- Experience in database interface
