Exciting opportunity to join this commercially focused team as a Commercial Analyst providing commercial insight and financial modelling throughout the bid development process. Working closely with the Commercial Finance team, the wider Strategy & Growthteam, and Operations to develop comprehensive financial models which maximise success.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Full production of a financial model or business case (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, financial projections & supporting info & analysis) that incorporates all financial and commercial decisions
- Develop an excellent understanding of the operational delivery and market sectors, in order to fully understand the implications of contractual obligations, commercial models and performance offers/targets within bids.
- Commercial support and challenge on key assumptions, and production of detailed scenario and sensitivity analysis supporting the financial models.
- Identification of financial and commercial risks, supporting the bid manager to monitor these through appropriate risk management structures and identifying creative interventions to mitigate potential impact.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive yet challenging relationships and providing a link between stakeholders
- Preparation and delivery of all written and verbal proposals relating to financial modelling for the bid.
- Assist with client presentations, competitive dialogues and post tender negotiations.
- Prepare finance information for internal reviews with senior management, and present at relevant project boards and Group sign-off meetings as required.
- Support the handover of the bid to the implementation team ensuring that costing and reporting tools are established and handed over to the relevant Senior Finance Business Partner.

Skills and Experience
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with proven track record of financial modelling experience (or equivalent combination of relevant alternative professional qualification and relevant financial experience).
- Advanced knowledge of using MS Excel to build complex financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience of working in a contract management/bidding/sales environment, FP&A or as an operational finance manager
- Experience of presenting key financial and commercial information to clients as part of competitive dialogue, negotiation or bid evaluation.
- Experience of working with operational and bid/project teams to develop financial models that are deliverable and offer an acceptable balance of risk and reward.
