Holway Park Pre-School is looking for a Pre-school practitioner. This role is initially part time, working Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday mornings 8.30am till 1pm with the opportunity to increase hours to cover maternity leave **term time only (18 hours per week)**

We are a small Pre-School in Taunton and are looking for a friendly, reliable and knowledgeable practitioner to join our team. This person **must have a minimum of level 2 childcare qualification**, and ideally have experience of working with children in the early years. A valid paediatric first aid certificate and experience of working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential, and if successful you will need to have an enhanced DBS check before beginning your role.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up and carrying out learning activities with the children
- Carrying out snack and group time
- Contributing to planning
- Working well in a team

You will need a good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and OFSTED requirements. As part of this role, you will also need to:

- Record observations on children
- Upload these to the online learning journal
- Carry out assessments on children, such as 2 year old checks
- Build up good, collaborative relationships with parents

Salary will be £11 per hour
