- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a nurturing and supportive environment for the children.
- **Behaviour Management**: Utilize effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of the care provided and any significant incidents or observations.
- **Communication**: Liaise effectively with external agencies, families, and other professionals involved in the care of the children.
- **Promoting Independence**: Encourage and support the children in developing independence and life skills.
- **Participation in Training**: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in childcare.
- **Adherence to Policies and Procedures**: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Level 3 Qualification in Care, Children & Young People or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a residential childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
