The Role

National Highways have an excellent opportunity for an Asset Data Analysis and Intelligence Manager to join our team within Operations, based in the North West region. The Asset Data Analysis and Intelligence Manager will Provide leadership and directionto the Asset Data Team in the management of the NH asset databases and also unlock the value in National Highways data and derive intelligence and recommendations that support the Region’s needs assessment, investment and planning decision making.

What you’ll be leading on
- Set the direction and high-level requirements for asset database management within the regional operations team.
- Manage workload and resource for the Asset Data Team. Provide line management, ensuring timely setting of objectives, performance management reviews and the development of appropriate succession and development plans.
- Champion asset and performance data quality and integrity in the Region, in line with agreed guidelines, providing coaching and guidance to regional colleagues involved in data entry or capture.
- Support regional colleagues through the utilisation of asset and maintenance data to deliver their key accountabilities and maintain network safety and performance.
- Act as the main point of contact with wider National Highways data teams.
- Represent the region at the Confirm User Group and the P&D National Meeting to address, guide and resolve issues with current ways of working, including processes & procedures and establishing best practice.
- Support the Head of P&D in the production and submission of the Maintenance Requirements Plan. To liaise with the Engineering and Service Delivery teams to ensure quality and accuracy of data used in determining cyclic maintenance frequencies.
- Identify, mitigate and manage risks associated with the asset databases and relevant documentation. Escalation of risks to the Divisional Risk Register.
- Interface with SES and AMDG to provide input into the development of review of standards and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Network Data Analysis and Intelligence Manager to identify common issues and deliver single solutions across the Regional Operations Team.
- To take responsibility for the health and safety of the wider teams and yourself by challenging, reporting and acting on any unsafe activities or conditions.
- To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of this role.

To be successful
- Membership of IAM or equivalent professional body is preferred
- Degree or HND in relevant discipline with appropriate experience, or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Extensive knowledge of NH Asset Databases, or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of data and information management principles and best practices
- Ability to lead, inspire and drive change within a team and across organisational boundaries.
