Providing a proactive and responsive administrative support service to all staff, while maintaining a well-resourced, efficient and functioning Multimedia Resources Office (MRO).

**Key Responsibilities as Administrative Officer**:
**_ Photocopying_**
- Fixing and/or reporting photocopying issues to suppliers (note this applies to all photocopiers around the building as well as the MRO).
- Delivering a planned approach to key copying requirements to ensure demand can be met.

**_ Administration_**
- Laminating, binding and organising documents as requested.
- Ordering stationery to ensure suitable levels always available in MRO (including spare stock) within the agreed budget.
- Contacting staff to identify requirements and order in good time.
- Organising stationery and orders to efficiently store stock.
- Keeping the MRO in a neat and tidy state.

**_ Reception_**
- To cover reception twice a day, during the receptionist’s lunch-break and between 4.30 - 5pm.

**_ Supporting colleagues_**
- Proactive interactions with staff to manage copying and related administrative tasks on their behalf.
- Working with the PA and other staff where needed.
- Support to other members of the administrative team as required, including reception cover when the receptionist is absent.

**_ General_**
- Maintaining absolute confidentiality in relevant aspects of work.
- Complying with relevant policies and procedures
- Undertaking any other task requested by staff or their delegate that is within the individual’s abilities.

**Person Specification**:
Qualifications and knowledge:

- Good academic profile including mathematics and English at (at least) C grade GCSE (essential)
- Knowledge of photocopier use and troubleshooting (essential)

**Experience**:

- Experience of delivering responsive and efficient customer service (essential)
- Experience of managing a self-directed workload (essential)
- Record of developing and sustaining positive working relationships (essential)
- Experience of delivering high volume photocopying services (desirable)

**Skills**:

- Confident and friendly manner (essential)
- Good written and spoken English; with the ability to communicate clearly in a professional manner (essential)
- Ability to effectively plan and organise workload (essential)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities (desirable)
- Personal competencies and qualities:

- Discreet and able to handle work of a confidential nature (essential)
- Willing to be flexible and pragmatic when things change (essential)
