Purpose

To develop and deliver training programs for the Operator population across all areas of Manufacturing, including Bottling, Vatting and Dry & Finished Goods

To work with key Stakeholders to identify the technical skillsets required for each role and close any gaps identified

To manage internal & external specialised training for the Operator population across areas of responsibility

To be the champion of Quality within the Operator population, always challenging to become best in class
- Key Responsibilities:

- Positions Reporting to the Job Holder: 2 x Technical Trainers
- Develop the training material within area of responsibility, covering Safety, Quality and Technical aspects of the role
- Deliver Chivas Values through all training and development activities
- Drive deep end to end Quality culture across Manufacturing through operator training
- Align with key stakeholders to Develop and Deliver Operator training programs that upskill the Operator population in Safety, Quality and Technical aspects of roles across area of responsibility.
- Develop a fully flexible workforce that can cope with varying demand
- In conjunction with the Technical Trainers, deliver a peer-to-peer based training program for the Operator population. This should include competency-based assessment following completion of the training
- Coordinate internal & external specialised training for the Operator population across area of responsibility
- To support, manage and develop the skills of the Technical Trainers, ensuring consistency of approach across Manufacturing
- Optimise the quality of all training material through the simplification and digitalisation
- Conduct regular re-certification of employees to continually improve and maintain standards
- Continually improve the training process with trainers and key stakeholders
- Co-ordinate training programme with area Managers and Team Leaders
- Ensure Operators are proactively trained prior to major Capex investment projects in area of responsibility
- Key Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in a Production.
- Capability to deliver in a ‘lean manufacturing’ environment
- Must demonstrate a quality and customer focused approach to problem-solving and decision making
- Understands and contributes to continuous improvement
- Understands KPI's and contributes to the achievement of business, departmental and business objectives
- Highly PC literate, numerate and able to analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to prioritise and work to time constraints
- Comfortable presenting to and engaging with different sized audiences
