**About the role**

You’ll lead all key aspects of the strategic sourcing process for a range of procurement activities across pre agreed categories of spend with support, mentoring and guidance from our Category Managers. You will be custodian of critical category data and responsibility for generating reports and providing insight, interpretations, and recommendations into the data you are reporting on.

You’ll be conducting market research and horizon scanning to stay informed and up to date on industry trends, procurement innovations, specific category developments and new market entries, ensuring we are at the forefront of innovation.

You will be allocated a low value Category of spend and given training in category management as part of your role.

**About you**

You’ll have demonstrable experience in procurement technology tools, along with proven knowledge of digital procurement systems. As a team we utilise a range of procurement tools such as Ariba for sourcing, Achilles UVDB/Find a Tender Service for pre-qualification of vendors, Oracle iProcurement for P2P and Oracle BI for data reporting. Experience within these platforms, or similar, would be advantageous.

From a vocational perspective, ideally, we are looking for someone with procurement related qualifications (MCIPS/Degree for example) or equivalent experience working within a procurement setting.
