**The Duties**:

- To conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis to produce objective, comprehensive, clear and timely analysis of serious violence and other relevant areas.
- To review, scrutinise and challenge reports prepared by others.
- Support the VRN Evidence & Evaluation Lead and Data Analyst by accompanying them to meetings where research, evidence or evaluation are discussed.
- Support the work of the VRN by providing advice on suitable performance measures so that wellinformed contracts/service level agreements can be negotiated.
- To lead on the work with partners to produce and publish research and evaluation reports in accordance with clear timescales and legislative and local requirements.
- To conduct research and undertake analysis, review and evaluation in relation to projects as required.
- Utilise appropriate software packages to produce reports and presentations in styles suitable for the audience to be addressed.
- To monitor and analyse the political and policy environment and to identify opportunities and threats for the delivery of the Response Strategy.

**Skill and Requirements**:

- Educated to degree level or work experience involving research, analysis of data or statistics.
- Experience working within a research environment dealing with strategic issues.
- Experience working in an analytical environment where you are required to undertake analysis and research work
- Experience of producing comprehensive performance, research and evaluation reports.
- Experience producing research reports to tight deadlines.
- Experience of analysing both qualitative and quantitative datasets.
- The post holder will operate in a small team and will therefore be expected to be largely self sufficient, organising work and other support tasks according to broad priorities set by the VRN's Evidence & Evaluation Lead.
